Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actress and producer. Her career began in Mexico which she played in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which was a huge success and earned her an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were but among her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as Frida painter in Frida (2002) in which she also co-produced, resulted in Hayek the first Mexican actress to receive the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her a Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. The following years, Hayek focused more on making films, while also starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
